In this plan, complex functional needs had to be met in a one-story layout, with spacious spaces, a representative living room with high ceilings, a wintergarden, in addition to the 4 bedrooms, two room-sized wardrobes, a working room, two bathrooms, and a utility room. All of this could best be solved with a U-shaped building organized around an atrium.

The flat mass form covered with pitched roofs with a low inclination angle is broken by the semi-gable roof that stands out above the living room. In addition to the popular "Mediterranean" character that fits into the environment, the large glass surfaces, the wintergarden, and the highlighted semi-gable roof also give it a modern outlook.

In 2008, the building was published in the magazine Szép Házak under the title "Energy-efficient house". Although today we only plan "near-zero energy" houses by law, at that time the energy saving of buildings was far from evident, and few houses were built with this approach in mind. Then, in addition to the proper orientation of the building and the passive solar architectural design, with the executing Bauland Ltd. we solved this with the BauCell construction system with EPS elements poured with concrete, which was also a novelty in that time.

As a result of the excellent thermal insulation without thermal bridges and the significant heat storage mass, such a house is pleasantly cool in the summer, while it retains heat well in the winter. The Lego principle of connecting the EPS elements enables quick construction with little and recyclable waste. The roof is made with a half-gable roof with a wooden structure visible above the living room, elsewhere with wooden trusses, with thick cellulose thermal insulation blown in between the structure. In addition to its excellent thermal insulation ability, the recycled paper insulation is environmentally friendly, healthy, moisture permeable and fills the structure without gaps. In the mechanical engineering of the house, a heat pump, wall-heating, a heat recovery ventilation system and solar collectors were used...
